Dr. phil. Christine Lang is an author and dramaturg, filmmaker and cultural scientist. She works, researches and teaches in theory & practice, in contexts of cinema and theatre.

Numerous publications on dramaturgy and aesthetics, as a contribution to practice-based film and narrative research. Among other things, she is concerned with making specifically artistic knowledge productive in academic contexts.


Since 2022 in the coordination team of the German-speaking Screenplay Research Network.


2021 Responsible for the segment "Script Development/Serial Dramaturgy" in the training of editorial trainees at ZDF (second public service television station in Germany, the largest in Europe).

Various dramaturgical consultations (Golden Pixel Cooperative Vienna, Studio Zentral Berlin a.o.)

Teaching:

Since SS 2017 she has been teaching media practice and dramaturgy at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater 'Mendelssohn Bartholdy' Leipzig.

Since winter semester 2015/16 further teaching positions at the Filmuniversität Babelsberg, Universität Potsdam, UDK Berlin, FU Berlin, Merz Akademie Stuttgart, Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle, ifs Köln, Akademie für bildende Kunst Wien.

2009-2015 she was an artistic-scientific assistant at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF in the department of dramaturgy and media aesthetics.
